The Ochils Mountain Rescue Team is the
recognised body for lowland and mountain SAR
(Search And Rescue) in the police areas of
Clackmannanshire and Falkirk. We also assist our
fellow Central Scotland Mountain Rescue Group
members of
Killin and
Lomond MRTs in covering west into the
Stirling area. Called out by Central Scotland Police we will respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 365 days a year in support of locating and recovering missing persons or people who have found them selves in difficult situations. Training to a high standard, which conforms to guidelines set out by the Mountain Rescue Committee of Scotland and Central Scotland Mountain Rescue Group, the Ochils team can respond to any rural or hill incident efficiently and effectively. Our resources includes over 30 highly trained volunteers who are all mountaineers of various standards, but specialising in SAR. We currently have a brand new, state of the art rescue base, known in mountain rescue terms as a Post, near Bank Head Farm just outside Fishcross |
